If you have climbed Mt. Kinabalu in the past 3 years, I’m sure you will know the price for accomodation is getting way too expensive by the year. This should not happen, the majestic mountain does not belong to Sutera Sanctuary Lodges (SSL), the sole accomodation provider up in the mountain.

Regardless whether you are a friend of mine or just a visitor passing by, please help to stop this. You can help by telling people who are planning to climb this beautiful majestic mountain to reconsider their climbing trip if they too feel that SSL is ripping off their money (they can find out the cost of accomodation 4 years ago and compare it with the current cost). Or if you yourself are planning to climb Mt Kinabalu, then please reconsider your climbing trip.
I’m not driving people away from visiting Mt. Kinabalu or Borneo, and my intention is not to put Mt. Kinabalu in a bad name (it is a beautiful mountain!). We do not want the opportunitist to rip-off other people’ money because they have the chance to do so.
And I invite and welcome you to visit to Mt. Kinabalu once SSL reduce the price or once SSL is replaced.
